Newborn & infant swimwear made for real life

Babies need swimwear that's easy to get on and off, comfortable and covers more of their delicate skin. Our newborn swimwear starts from size 0–3 months, and our reusable swim nappies fit from newborn to around 2.5 years. All our all-in-one sunsuits in sizes 3 to 24 months have snaps for quick nappy changes, and our long-sleeve styles give extra coverage for Aussie beach days.

Infant beachwear for Aussie summers

Putting together bub's beach kit? Start with an infant swimsuit or a full body sunsuit for the most coverage, add a reusable swim nappy underneath, a swim hat for time out of the water and a hooded towel to wrap them up afterwards.

What should a baby wear swimming?

Most families pair a reusable swim nappy with a baby swimsuit or rashie, plus a sun hat for time out of the water. Many public pools require a swim nappy for babies and toddlers, so it's worth packing one every time.

Baby swimwear FAQs

What should a newborn wear swimming?
A swim nappy with a long-sleeve UPF50+ swimsuit or sunsuit over the top. For babies under 12 months, shade is the most important sun protection, so keep swims short and out of direct sun when you can. Read our guide to what a baby should wear swimming.

What's the smallest size?
Our baby swimwear starts from size 0–3 months, so even newborns can be beach-ready.

Do babies need special swimwear?
A UPF50+ swimsuit with good coverage and a swim nappy underneath is ideal. Long-sleeve styles help protect bub's skin from the sun.

What's the easiest baby swimwear for nappy changes?
Our all-in-one sunsuits in sizes 3 to 24 months all have snaps, so you can change bub quickly without taking the whole suit off.

What size should I choose?
Go by the size bub is currently wearing rather than their age, as babies of the same age can vary a lot. If you'd like it to last longer, size up for room to grow over summer.
